Authentic mill, completely renovated character house with real character
The Moulin d'Arudy is a building whose origins date back to the 15th century, straddling the picturesque canal and its remarkable wash houses used by the taverns which lined it in the 19th century. It is an authentic flour mill, in our family for over a century and having operated until the 1950s.
From your windows, you can admire the view of the canal, the village center and the Azerque mountain range; This is the same view that appears on the home page of the Arudy Tourist Office website!
This independent accommodation can, on request, be connected to the canal lodge for a maximum total capacity of 12 people.
Capacity: 6 people
On the ground floor: Entrance into the mill section where you can see the four pairs of millstones used to grind flour. Laundry room (washing machine, dryer) and a large space of more than 30 m² including a real bar table football and a ping-pong table.You can easily store bicycles, motorcycles, skis and fishing equipment there.
Upstairs: Living area of 105 m²
- A 25 m² dining room with a large table (8/10 place settings), a cozy corner equipped with a wood stove;
- A fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, electric stove with oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster);
- A large living room of 25 m² with a television area + CD player, an extra sleeping area and two wardrobes;
- 2 bedrooms overlooking the front of the mill: a first bedroom of 15 m² (a 140 cm bed, a wardrobe, an old marble dressing table and a real commode!) and a second bedroom of 10 m² (two 90 cm beds , a chest of drawers and an armchair);
- 2 bathrooms: the 1st with old bathtub, sink unit and WC and the 2nd with shower, sink and WC;
- An outdoor gallery overlooking the back of the canal, with garden furniture for 6 people.
